👓 General Process and Precautions for Refractive Consultations:

  1. Appointment Scheduling
  • Schedule the appointment and doctor’s consultation in advance.
  • Stop wearing soft contact lenses at least 3 days prior to the appointment.
  • 🚗 Do not drive yourself to the examination.
  1. On the Day of the Appointment
  • 🏥 Register and pay for the appointment on the first floor, then go to the second-floor Refractive Department Nurse Station for medical record creation and examination.
    • Pre-Myopia Surgery Screening (approx. 20 minutes)
    • Preliminary screening to determine suitable correction methods (laser myopia correction/ICL lens implantation). After screening, the doctor will guide you on the selection.
    • Pre-Laser Myopia Correction Examination (approx. 2-3 hours)
    • Includes blood tests, excluding registration fees.
    • Pre-ICL Lens Implantation Examination (approx. 3-4 hours over two days)
    • Excluding registration fees. Arrive at the hospital before 1 PM.
  • Post-Examination
    • The doctor will determine eligibility and guide you on specific correction method selection.
  • Surgery Scheduling
    • Surgery cannot be scheduled on the same day as the examination.
  1. Pre-Surgery Preparation
  • Follow the doctor’s instructions for pre-surgery medication and other preparations.
  1. On the Day of Surgery
  • Arrive at the hospital at the appointed time for surgery. No hospitalization is required after the surgery.
    • Laser Correction Surgery
    • The surgery takes about 10 minutes. Patients can leave the hospital on their own by car afterward.
    • ICL Lens Implantation Surgery
    • The surgery takes about 20 minutes and is performed over two days, with one eye operated on each day.
  1. Post-Surgery Follow-Up
  • Follow-up examinations are free for one year after the surgery. Aier Eye Hospital supports global remote follow-up.
    • Upon arrival, take a free Refractive Department number at the first-floor registration desk, then report to the second-floor Refractive Department Nurse Station to begin the examination.
